It was kind of like that for me, too. I felt like killing Nines was something I had to do to protect Kumopi. There wasn't even any reason for it.

So whoever was responsible this week probably didn't really want to hurt those two, either...

More like I thought that was the only way that I could protect him, at the time. So I think you're right. Like it takes something we care about and uses that to make us act.
