A whole bunch of different places...we started out on this like, random rock island in the middle of space. But then there was some mists that took us to like...this massive valley surrounded by mountains. And then there was a fancy library? And a church.
[ shakes his head ] No, it was just me. At least, by the time I was at the church getting dragged into this, I was alone. [ Danny focuses, brow furrowing as he tries to coherently put together the details. ] It was...I think it was like, a centuries-long war, they were trying to kill a whole group of people, but it was all because of a lie. The king--even though the war should've already been over, I think he kept the lie going, and we were trying to stop him.
I...I don't think so. We were doing well, we were gonna catch this airship of theirs before they left, but...then there was this guy on the rooftop, he threw a weapon at me, and suddenly my friends were there, trying to shield me. I...bailed on the king to try and save my friends.
Ugh. Yeah. Well, it sure worked on me. That's how I got this one. [ gestures to his stomach, which has been bandaged by now, but was previously the largest, bloodiest wound on him ] Trying to--to help them.

Not that it mattered anyway.

Were your friends people you knew from your world?

I mean, I know now that they weren't really there, but...at the time, it felt real.
