Yes. I'd rather you don't mention it to others around here. Given the situation the last thing I need is to have to spend too much time having to explain this sort of thing to everyone.
It does. Contractors understand how other Contractors in terrorist organizations and similar destructive forces work and what's the best way to stop them. You fight fire with fire, pretty much.
So I noticed! Finding out my powers were gone was far from convenient while I was faced by one of those beasts from the laboratory. Needless to say, not having my abilities is not something that should be possible.
It's so annoying.
[More like puzzling and kind of infuriating -- especially because for the first time ever November can make water out of thin air, even if it's a cup at most. Being able to do that and still have his cryogenic powers would be so incredibly convenient! Hah, in a way it's like a mockery at him and he really doesn't appreciate that.
But despite those somewhat bitter thoughts, his faint smile doesn't waver]
Indeed. A creature as large as a tiger, capable of gathering light to use it as a dangerous beam, and able to tackle a grown man to the ground with ease.
[Doesn't specify that grown man is Emet. Despite how much November dislikes that one now, at least he's not throwing him under the bus when talking to other people -- although he, unfairly, is blaming Emet for the creature's survival]
It escaped its containment and now roams the halls of that place. You should watch your back if you ever have the need to return there.
[Especially because there are more creatures wandering around over there now!]
There must be some underlying logic behind it all, but I haven't caught onto all the rules yet. I hardly trust anything involving this realm at all, though. That these colorful powers are the only reliable way we have to survive has me quite uneasy.
[So far it's pretty clear color seems to be a positive thing in general in this monochrome world, but who knows what's fueling these color powers. It could be their life, it could be their souls...who knows, who knows]
[That answer came immediately. Things like putting yourself at risk unnecessarily is unthinkable for someone like November. Although he knows fully well he can't hold everyone else to his standards -- standards that are pretty much the way Contractors think, their inherent rigidly logical mindset -- Hot Pants is someone he already is interested in seeing alive and well for a while, if only because she's probably the only one around here who has similarities to him.
Although for others he'd encourage them to overuse it, although with some safety measures, with her he immediately tries to discourage it]
Someone at some point well. It's only matter of time.
[She raises her eyebrows, a little surprised, but they settle. November 11...absolutely a code name. Of course. Anyone in that kind of field had to hide behind other names, hide their identity, become other people...]
[Well, she can understand that. And that's why having him around, at least, is beneficial.]
I will say the same for you too. Though with your background, I don't think I need to say that twice.

Are you a Contractor?

[She gets it!! She does.]
Must make your job easier, though.

This place seems to block abilities like that, though.

Well, that's no good. [She's scowling.] I wonder if it'll be affected by color like the clowns?
no subject
[November why don't you mention it's because it's dripping it like acid or something, that's critical information]
no subject
[She'll put that as a mental note.]
What do you think of this color business? The fact we have these extra powers, now...

[It's exactly what he had once thought! That someone else thinks the same is such a relief]
Feeling so drained after using the colors is a bad sign, I'd say.

[HMMPH]
I feel the same way, too. I don't know if I want to try to overuse them if I can help it.
