Sometime after that. The trap you saw me in...I was freed, actually. I was chasing down my main target with someone else much later. And that fight, and what happened afterwards...well.
[She frowns pensively - sure didn't end well. Its strange, how hesitant she was telling anyone else about it, but...November has died. They're in the same boat, here.]
If I have the chance to go back, and still be alive...then that's what I'm aiming for.
You'll get the chance -- although I do wonder if perhaps by the time you get back it will all be over.
[........]
Over in a positive manner.
[He makes that addendum because the odds whoever killed Hot Pants got away with everything and won aren't low. Hot Pants isn't an incompetent woman. Someone, or a group who managed to kill her, must be a force to rekcon]
[November says that pretty matter of factly, but he does feel pretty conflicted over it. Leaving his partners behind is tough, especially when he began caring for them as more than teammates. They were his friends. But it probably will be for the better he's not back.
He'd have to join go all in with that subversive movement he was investigating, after all. There's no way he could go have a normal, calm life if he returns -- many would seek him and aim to get rid of him one way or another, he knows that because he did the same to one Contractor who lost her powers and stayed away from everything. Joining the EPR would be the only option, to fight against those who want to exterminate him and all Contractors in existence.
No other rational choice available, his path is set as soon as he sets foot back in his world and he knows it]
I will figure out some other alternate path for myself.
[She doesn't know his whole situation, that's true. It seems tough, either way, with what she saw, knowing that he made his stand against those who wanted to kill people like him, and died for it.]
[She considers it for a moment.]
If there's anything I can do to help...just say the word.

[....]
I also died before I came here. [A long pause.] We both have second chances.

Was it shortly after the memory I watched of you, too?
[That certainly looked like a troublesome trap, and the body horror probably doesn't help one stay alive either. That's bound to be a rough time]

[Maybe those two could do it. Maybe those two could have succeeded where she fails.]
...I hope the same goes for you too, November.

...I'll keep it in mind. Thank you, Hot Pants.

[She doesn't seem to make it a big deal, simply huffing.]
Just don't go overboard.
